Nedo Special Staffs

The self-luminous levelling staff with a barcode
for the use in underground or in tunnel construc-
tions. With regard to its precision LumiScale is
classified between traditional levelling staffs
(DIN 18703) and precision levelling staffs (DIN
18717).
The LumiScale graduation is backlit via a electro-
luminescent foil which, contrary to an external illu-
mination, illuminates the entire graduation and
does not form shades. Extensive tests of the Graz
University proved that measuring errors are elimi-
nated thanks to the continuous illumination of the
graduation.
LumiScale is a joint project between Nedo and the
Graz University of Technology (Prof. Brunner).
